10 ¼ inch miniature railway in a dumbell formation. The railway first opened in the 1970’s on a small length of track but stil running adjacent to the River Ure.
You’ll get onto the train at the station which is now in the middle of the dumbell loop. The trackside is easy acessable as it runs through parts of the gardens which make it an enjoyable trip.
An enterance fee applies to get into Newby Hall and then a small fee for the miniature railway. You can easily spend the whole day at Newby Hall whether your a family with or without children.
Bank Holidays are usually the only day the the Royal Scot runs, these can be super busy if the weather is nice so go early or late to avoid the long wait
